I have close friends that have one that just uses a radio signal.  Someone on here was installing one that was a little more expensive that connected to the internet.  How's it work?  What are the costs?  I just moved in a barn that is about 75 yards from the house.  No problem running out to check them, just thought it would be nice not to always disturb them in the middle of the night.  Would I have to run a cable to the house?  Can the camera be accessed from a phone if I had to leave for a while to run errands?  Any links would be great!

Thanks for any suggestions,

Tony

I dont have a system in place, but have setup a few monitoring systems in other applications.

I used a Samsung wired system.  Essentially you had rj11 cable that was attached to a camera and ran to a Samsung monitor.  The monitor would accept up to 4 cameras and you could have it scan between the cameras or put all 4 on the screen at the same time.

You can also purchase one that has a essentially a mini webserver that will allow you to access the video feed on any computer with an internet connection.  Your phone would be a different story, it would all depend on the phone, I highly doubt it because of the bandwidth you would need to stream the video.

I can't speak for the wireless, I see a lot of 2.4 ghz systems, but I do think it will have the range you will need.

Something like this, but with maybe different cameras and the webserver option
