I got to wondering.......will there be breed associations 200 years from now? Will the USA still be run by capitalists or will the government own the land......and manage it? Will the Red Angus and Angus association be joined? Will there still be a club calf industry? Gene splicing? How far will the agronomy genetics move? Will we have carrots that have protein bred into them? If our government just took over ownership of land and mineral rights.......water rights......they could ease out of any up coming economic crash. I know it doesn't have anything to do about fluffy tails.......but are we even relevant in our breeding programs today?

I could see the Red Angus and the Angus breed associations combining at some point in the future.

I also wondered about a bull in the future who had the ultimate DNA configuration for say extreme marbling ability........could the owner of the bull....TRADEMARK or copyright that gene sequence?

I always thought that the Gelbvieh and Simmental breeds might merge.......association wise. They are so closely related.......in the old world anyway.

aj clones himself, still doesn't produce anything and some new defect he posts endlessly about how bad it is yet tries to sell carriers.

the beef industry changes, but aj didn't, in spite of being cloned.

Now make something and make the beef industry 200 years from now. You have a lot of experience.
