we showed 2 sunseekers last year, a heifer and a steer.  the steer was a pup, never had an attitude issue. his biggest problem was he got a bit coarse up front. heifer was a bit of a handful from time to time....never was wild or mean but she was one of those calves that always had her head up. however she was a lot smoother fronted. both stout and sound as a cat.

I thing I can add about sunseeker is I have seen him at stud and he is one of the most impressive mature bulls I have ever seen. And that was even standing next to WMW and Heatwave and all the clones. The only other 2 mature bulls at hawkeye breeders that even stand close to as good are Aberdeen and Money Shot when I was there. I usually go 1-2 times a year.

Hey your just down the road from me, I am in Audubon, MN.  Did you purchase your heifer for a 4-H project?  If you did and are in EOT 4-H, our county Becker, will potentially be co-hosting a fitting clinic next summer, details are in the process.  We just had a 1st livestock comm meeting last night and that was a topic brought up.

My 11 year old daughter showed a sunseeker heifer all summer. She was very upheaded in show ring but very good for her. But when someone else took halter coming out of ring she would get away evertime..but she is a beautiful heifer.

i am from perham minnesota and have recentally purchased a Black and White sunseeker hiefer. i have heard some good and bad things about sunseeker animals. Would appreciate info. Will add picture when i bring her haome she has to get weaned so probably sometime between thursday and sunday
thanks

Hey Babytex, this is the Becker County mom, Louise Jacobson.  No I am not one of Rhondi's daughters but my our family is in the same 4-H club as the Ulmers and exhibit with them @ the Becker Co.fair.  My oldest son isn't old enough to go to State yet, two more years.   We look forward to maybe seeing you this spring/summer possibly at a joint county event.  Interested in seeing pix of your new heifer.  Did you get her locally, or did you have to go very far to purchase her?  Talk to you soon. L

Hey Perham!  We have basically shown Angus: steers, heifer, cow/calf, feeders. My cowherd is basically purebred black angus.  This year we AI'd a few cows to Who Made Who, Swoosh, Whose your daddy. Javelin, and Star Power.  My son's show heifer(reg angus) we bred to SAF Focus of Er.  I very excited for calving this coming spring.   Very cool connection on steer planet. :)
