blog stuff

ok jason, i have questions about this blog thing...and maybe some others do to...so could we post questions and answers here for all bloggers to read, as we probably have similar questions and it will save you from having to repeat yourself in pm's

first off, can you personalize the sidebar(where it says pages, archives, categories, etc)? like add a pic at the top of it?  i want to keep the sp template, but i would like to add a cow pic there if possible....

I guess I have a similar question on setting up a different theme.
You can upload pictures by clicking the symbol on top of where you'd post.

Jason- any progress on changing the theme?

  I would like to add, thanks to all the bloggers. You are quickly becoming my morning newspaper. I enjoy reading your blogs. You all are gifted with your writing/story telling talents. Just want you to know that we are reading and enjoying your blog efforts. I get tired of all bad news and think about cattle 24/7, so these blogs are great for me @ least. Just wanted to drop a note how much google loves blogs and word press, I saw my blog post get indexed into google within a couple hours of posting it.  It depends when the googlebot visits, but google loves fresh information.

is there anyway to add a counter to your blog, to see how many hits you have? 

I wish there were some way that the blogs could have the "NEW" or "UPDATED" icon next to them so you could see which ones have been changed since the last visit. Checking each of them can kill quite a bit of time!

I keep forgetting to update mine. Need to do it w/ more calves.

yes, go to plugins, "add new"

i did that...but dont see anything different...hmmm....

Tried to add a counter "W3" to mine but failed. Must be something simple I’m missing.
