Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a small hay farm in SE Wyoming, and am looking to revamp and rework an existing set of cattle facilities.  I am looking for input and help in designing an efficient set up that will be functional for many years to come.
This will primarily be used to winter cattle (50-75 head) for a few months out of the year.  Im hoping to be able to halter break and display 10-25 calves each fall, for private treaty sales, as well as preparation for prospect sales in neighboring states.  I want to be able to work mature cattle, use it to calve out, and make it possible to provide supplemental feeding when a big storm rolls through.  I want a fairly easy set up to run with a single person.  Quite the wish list, huh?!

Attached is a google map of my "yard".  Currently there are concrete feedbunks and railings located at the red lines, blue is a solid steel tub and snake alley, the big green square is an old barn (still functional to some degree), the smaller green boxes are sheds that can be used for storage. Yellow lines are existing fence lines, predominantly barbed wire.  Cattle can access a 55 acre field to the east, a 50 acre field to the west, and I am hoping to develop the two and one acre pastures on either side of the driveway into grass holding pens/pastures.

So any and all ideas are welcome.  Setups, recommendations, sizes and locations of pens.  I'll try to get some more pictures and information up as needed!
