calf help

Two weeks ago we had a calf born. If has been inside with the cow since. We noiticed the next day that the calf had a red spot and missing some hair. The vet just thought that the cow had stepped on it or it had rubbed on something. Within the last week we have noticed that the calf has spots where it is missing hair. It now has quite a few of these spots. Today one of the new spots was very red. The calf has been acting fine. It may be a little slugish and tired. Thanks

Is the cow licking the calf? How is she for mineral and salt? Might want to let the pair outside for a bit each day if they are inside because of the weather. Just might need something else to do.
