Castration

I got my steer the end of October they crimped him with an Emasculatome. Well today I was washing his belly and noticed they seem to be bigger, their about the size of 2 female fist, im not sure its the cold making them seem bigger or did it not work when the did it. He is about 9 months old and 850lbs. I have only ever had  my dairy steers done surgically so I am not sure what the testicals should look like if they been crimped off correctly. I plan on showing him in a month in a half and he needs to be fully done.

Hard to say with out seeing him but he may just be developing a "cod" Is he getting fat if so steers that are not ringed and still have the sack without the jewels lay down fat in this area. It is a sign of a fat animal. Hope this helps.
