Does anyone add cherry oil to their feed? I hear cattle love it and it makes them go after feed better. Wanted to try it but having difficulty finding where to buy it. Thanks.

Years ago we added Cherry Oil (as I recall a Kent Prod.) to a custom mix designed for a Heifer we were showing. It did stimulate appetite and help bloom/add cover.
Good Luck!

JMO, I think as a dust control it may increase intake but as far as it being cost effective, I think that there are other feed ingredients that will work at a lower cost. I think that it is somewhat a sales gimmick that feed suppliers use to sell feed. We like the smell of it so much that we think the cattle will like it but you rarely see cattle eating cherries, or butterscotch, or strawberries, etc. Some type of molasses mixture or soy oil mix may be just as good at a lower price.
