I had this shorthorn catalogue sent to me and found it interesting, both the Eionmor Marquis 88G influence and the bulls sired by Clipper King of USA and Ball Dee Royal Commando! (thumbsup) <beer>

Dennis Hoffrogge already has a solid white Clipper King of USA bull with semen available now.  Bull has TPS leader 21st twice and super flag on bottom side of pedigree. researched 100% native grass fed genetics.go to dmh cattle website for more details.

As ever, thanks foor posting the link to the catalogue Okotoks. I had been searching the web for it but couldn't get it. It's a pity the bulls with the exciting pedigrees don't match up in the flesh. The Clipper King bull looks very light in himself, he seems very flat in the rib and the colour isn't too hot either. The Ball DeeRoyal  Command bull looks like a bad steer. All of the aforementioned is of course in my personal opiniom. Lot 2 the Stonewall bull looks the best of a very  mixed bag. I like the Saskvalley Task Force reference sire. He looks a very good type.

I have kinda been around the lot 2 bull since he was a young calf.  he if for real.  He was mixed in a group of very nice angus et calves and was hands down THE man in that group.  Also he was one of the youngest bulls.  Also saw the lots 3 and 4 (same herd) and even being a bit younger they were still standouts.

Okotoks Thanks for putting the Common Cents Catalog On Steerplanet.  I just wanted to let everyone know that we will be getting videos on-line and they will be able to be viewed on our website(www.shorthornbulls.com) We will also be weighing, ultrasounding, and scrotal measuring all the bulls on the sale in the middle of January and that info will also be available on our website.

Mark- I have to agree the black baldy would be a cover for alot of bull sales, it takes balls to add that guy  into a short sale....  I love the red baldy too.

Regardless.. nice deep offering of short bulls.
However - if you are lurking on sp ... please study this offering of % short bulls, the price might be right and let's hope for good weather on Jan 28th?  Somebody email the ultrasound to me before the 23rd ... good luck

The adjustments on ribeye is an age adjustment?
AJ, Yes the Adjustments are made to 365 days.  Also, The videos are now online at www.shorthornbulls.com.

Just looked again at the catalogue and as well as lot number 2 (for obvious reasons) I really like lot 8. He seems really fancy and scopey. A real quality bull with style and presence good luck to him.

I believe what I got is right. Sorry if not.  We went and some good looking bulls and great people. My future bro-in-law bought 13,15, and 30 and I hope I get 30 on halves with him.
