it looks like the french association may be getting rid of the double muscling gene. cut and paste the link.  not sure why it isn't linkable.

http://www.maine-anjou.fr/uploads/rte/File/Actualités/2013/Catalogue%20IA%20.pdf

here's some translation

The gene responsible for the phenotype is gene culard mh. This gene is recessive, meaning that its effects are more pronounced when the two alleles are mutated.
There are three possible situations for an animal  (the culard gene is double muscling.  i hope they know there are two defective alleles in maine's).  i guess from the listing, PORTEUR means carrier

As well as the gene carcase, there are 3 types of people; non carriers (+ / +), heterozygous carriers (To / +) and homozygous (TB / TB).
The desire of the body selection is not disseminate gene turner. This is why the present catalog are only bulls noncarriers (+ / +) of this gene. Cocéan, Bouba, moldboard, Tendon, Sarazin, ... were removed for this reason they were all TB / +.
The same station, are sold bulls noncarriers of the anomaly. Example of coupling a cow TB / +:

two of the bulls aren't bad looking for french bulls

Garibot and dalain.

one is so terrible looking it defies logic.

The link doesn't work b/c the whole thing isn't 'hot'.

I can't get the pdf to open...

it's interesting, from the way it sounds-- that the carrier dm animal appears to be superior to all others, whether dm expressed, or non-carrier...
