I was hoping someone who knows alot more than we do could figure the protein/fat percentages in these rations.  We are trying to find a new finishing ration to use on steers to either feed entire or mix 1/2  and 1/2 with our bagged show feed (cost cutting measures (clapping) )We also have used Power Fuel when needed.  We are trying to find a ration with around 12 percent protein and 5 percent fat.  If anyone has a better one, feel free to let us know.......... We have every available item in our area.  Thanks for your help.

Oklahoma State has a ration balancing program on their site that I use.  Takes a little playing around to figure it out at first but sure is handy after a bit.  You can add your own ingredients to the list also.

The site is  http://www.ansi.okstate.edu/software/

Give it a try.  Its fun to see how  ration changes affect the  outcome.
