He was sampled by a fullblood Maine outfit in Montana(can't remember the name). They linebred him some too. You will find him in fullblood pedigrees but he is rare in modern black Maine genetics. Some of the early breeders seemed to really like him. O'Hara might be one to contact or the AMAA could give you someone who has more knowledge.  

After some research, Walter & Lois Johnson were the breeders that used him some. Their perfix was CD.

if and when genetic markers are more predictive for traits of interest other than defects, verified parentage verification will be important.

only the canadian association requires every registered calf be dna verified, ET donor, AI bull, or otherwise.  doesn't mean there isn't shenanigans.
