2 sets of twins in the last week!  Interestingly they are also all sired by the same bull (BC Lookout).  Fortunately both cows have decided to raise both calves.  <party>

Thats a pretty neat deal no doubt about it ! Not gonna question what sex they were or what they weighed cause it doesnt matter ! And the cows taking to them and raising them is another plus ! Good luck with them !

I feel lucky.  I don't think we've ever had a set of twins that the cow raised both.  The first set were bulls (58 and 63 lbs).  The second set were heifers (both 70 lbs).

That is exciting.  We've had twins for the past several years.  Not great luck though of the mommas raising both of them though.  We broke down and invested in a milk cow and she has been has saved us this year for sure.  She's half Jersey half Holstein and will take any calf.  Its the darndest thing to watch...
Good luck with yours!

Awesome!!  We are selling our first steers on Monday out of a BC Lookout son and the auctioneer from the livestock barn came out this morning to give us a quote and told us they are the best set of calves he has ever seen off our farm.  By the way, never pulled one and they hit the ground running and had great rate of gain.  Good luck with your twins.

Thanks!  I never hope for twins, but if I could have picked the cows to have them, these two would be my picks.  ALTSIMMY--good luck with yours!

Like the looks of your 2 cows. They look like they'll be able to raise the twins.
On a side note, the job was all the same for the sperm as far as job description, seek & fertilize. Your cows did all of the work to produce the calves.
What are the cows pedigrees like?

The cow in the top pic (45) is a 1407 out of a Conneally Frontline daughter.  The other cow (33) is 5175 out of a Traveler 23-4 daughter.

Going to put up a terrible dark dreary picture but kinda neat as they are nesting together ha ha ! The mother is an older G&L Avalanche X Black Zinger purebred cow and these two are just out of my baldy herd bull which is the one in my profile pic background , a Perfector grandson. Older genetics but some good ones , these boys will grow !

Awesome!  Is the cow taking them both?  Both my sets of twins are growing good.  I hope you have the same success.

She is very very attached to both calves ! She's enough cow to handle them both too so its looking good so far. This is the third time she has twinned but the only time they've both made it , so far ....
