So we were all ready to rough out our couple show heifers- Tail, head, top line, neck, the whole 9 yards.

I figured I should give the guy we bought them from a call right before we threw em in the chute to make sure it was okay as he did the final clip.  He said that if it was his he wouldn't as this would cause her to shed the rest of her hair.  Is this true? I've never heard of anything like this before.

Well shedding season is about to begin here in Texas but that is just heat related. I try to make sure or heifers are clipped at least every 7 to 14 days, tipping the hair will keep it coming in fuller and healthier.
