We had a show heifer that had this the end of June.  Our vet soaked some guaze in Tetracycline and then packed it in between her toes.  then wrapped the foot with vet wrap and covered that with duct tape to keep it on her foot for at least 24 hours.  She said not to keep it on the foot for any longer.  She did this method of treatment, because we didn't want an injection in her neck and then have to deal with that swelling before Nationals.  That healed her foot pretty quick.

strange, but i always thought of this being a "dairy problem".....seems like more and more beef people are having to deal with it....

any thoughts on it possibly being spread at shows???  i thought about this when i was walking through a county fair this year...dairy in the same barn as beef, sharing same wash racks, etc.....and then i remember when i called about pulling into naile and they told me i would have to wait another day, the particular day i was wanting to come was the day they were stripping out the buildings from the dairy people being there and disinfecting everything....
