After reading several topics on here, I am considering using Headliner because the Monopoly semen has gotten so expensive, but am worried about his 98 lb bw.  Can anyone tell me their experiences with his calves?

You have to really consider the cow when breeding to any heatwave son. Our headliner and monopoly calves have all been between 85 -100 pounds.

I really want to give this bull a try too. Where can I order semen?

My monopoly's have all been between 85 to 115 lbs.  Two biggest ones 100 and 115 lbs using tape on feet were both born unassisted.  Only had to pull one out of seven.  And that cow never has them by herself.

Are you insinuating you actually believe the weights put out there on bulls promoted by the big boys? Sounds to me like someone was just honest for once. I see no reason to think he'll be any harder calving than Monopoly, if he was we'd know by now.

I sure hope that the headliners bw is his real bw and not something they made up. I think the headliner looks pretty neat but that bw scares me. I talked to the guy who raised heat wave today at the beef expo and he told me you can add 30lbs onto heat waves bw.

It is a known fact that heat wave's advertised birth weight is not accurate and he didnt come out the back of the cow either.  But they win the shows and that is wha people want to buy for show calves.

Guys if you want to know everything that there is to know about Headliner, please call the # here & ask for Chris. She raised and owns part of Headliner along with breeding procession. I'm sure that the BW posted is correct. Stockridge Farms.
