What are your goals with the outcome? Retained female, show heifer, show steer, bull? That will be the best start in determining what to use.

I am assuming that you want to stay pure bred, I really like the calves I have out of PHH PCC 812 True Grit 002. And he worked well on heifers.

I like the H Excel 8051 idea.
What about TH 122 71I VICTOR 719T or THM DURANGO 4037? Sometimes Reloads can be a little shallow bodied. These bulls should add more rib, maintain muscle, and downsize the frame. Often times Reloads have super clean fronts.

We have a nice heifer calf out of THM Durango who's a proven calving ease bull. I'm glad to hear reports that true grit is throwing some nice calves. We have a first calf heifer due to him mid October.

I like the Durango idea as well.  The only thing that concerns me is Reload tends to not transmit his power through his daughters.  I've seen a ton of powerful Reload daughters not have any power to their calves unless mated to a power bull.

Again thanks for all the comments.  We are new to showing.  Our reload daughter has always gotten the same responses at shows this year... Needs to looser in the rib.

Looks to me like you have a pretty nice heifer, if you really want to get the best of both worlds breed her to a horned bull. Maybe, Churchill Sensation 028X, the cross between the polled and horned genetics give you a little extra performance. The horned cattle were always superior to the polled because they polled were selected for so long mainly due to the only breeding criteria was that they were polled. I will say that the polled cattle have become very good in the past decade and I use them on my horned cattle every year and horned back on my polled cows. I like the results of the breeding and I believe that the offspring show the results. Good luck and I don't think you could go wrong with any of the bull that have been suggested.
