Update on the Green Fresh Air Steer that has been champion everywhere hes been BUT BADGER-(he was reserve to a VERY HI $ Farrer Steer whos a different type}. Bing Bing Bing-he was just Champion at the Iowa beef Expo and he still looks like a breed animal WITH alot of PERFORMANCE (AND HES OUT OF A PROUD jAZZ COW I HOPE SOMEONE LIKE  TOBY JORDAN SEES HIM I THINK HE WOULD APPRECIATE HIS TYPE-thats grow and carcass folks)-HE DOESNT NEED TO BE FAT AND HE ISNT at all HES CHANGED A BUNCH IN A COUPLE MONTHS but still- a ton of gas in the TANK AND STILL HAS THAT JUNK IN THE TRUNK-Jim swept Badger With two hiefers- (Champ and reserve) At Iowa beef expo-He was out sick-but the same 2 hiefers were-Champ-and Class winner- Along with the Champion shorthorn Steer (fresh Air Calf) 3 head but didnt sweep-Long story short-He has a unique type of cattle-THEY DO NOT RESEMBLE THE CATES SULLIVAN CATTLE AT ALL-NO RELATION. They work in the field after showing-Then come back and win big shows as a cow (like the National Jr Show) JMO-Hes the strongest small breeder of Shorthorns (along with others like Maines-Simms) in the country-By virtue of his show and sale records the last few years OUT OF 2 Shorthorn cows-mother (whos now only 4 or 5) and daughter coming with her second calf Also in 2019- He has also produced a Louisville winning high maine hiefer (calf champ I think ) and some very strong x-breds out of several other cows O0

Yes he died young-Semen is pretty limited I have a little available Dale should have a couple coming-I think one will be out of hot commodities mother (Bull in this thread) Added a picture of another daughter I like-He worked real well on other breeds and xbreds-used more commercially than anything else O0

Thanks, Mark!  That helps quite a bit!/// Absolutely-from a strictly functional point of view-Both of these bulls are at or below 0 BW eps with Hot Commodity being the most Accurate-That being said I think Commodity on a Fresh Air would make great LOW BW  REAL WORLD HIGH performance cattle-Commodity is from great cows-so is Fresh Air-and his daughters certainly have proved the point in the field already I see either one as being alot different than just about anything out there so the somewhat outcross versatility could really work JMO-I really think they would go gangbusters on Canadian blood as well O0

As Mark suggested we used Fresh Air on a few cows that are soggy and very moderate.

There is semen available again at Cattle Visions.  Homeplace Hot Commodity 1625 was collected last week.  Thank you for your patience.
