Hauled a couple heifers for a friend to a sale this weekend.  It was a 12 hour trip and they looked pretty wrung out when we got there.  This was their first time being off the farm and they wouldn't eat or drink.  Any suggestions or products we could use in the future to avoid this??

Get there a day earlier if at all possible, thats the main thing in my mind.  If they arent eating or drinking I'd think about using a pump on them; not in a manner to put excessive fill on them but, enough to get their gut started back going so theyd start drinking and eating again.  You might try bringing your own water too...there isnt much that I know of that you can do before you leave.

Vita Charge Boluses or Gel caps before you leave and when you get there, and Vita Charge Paste when you get there. Never had one go off feed doing this.
