In 4-H & FFA showed sheep (yuck) a pig once & Jerseys. We did raise some pigs & had some chickens but daughter was in charge of feeding chicken & decdided one winter it was too cold for her to bother w/ feeding them & they died.
Also raised some Mallard ducks from ducklings. They flew the coop.

Right now all we do is cattle but as the kids get older we might try something else.  Kids turn in a few things in the commercial 4h building.

i show cattle, goats and sheep, i'm trying to get into poultry.  We just added a market/breeding lamb show to our annual spring livestock show.  I'm looking forward to it.  Oh, and about the goats being interesting creatures, my second was a bottle baby, and will still sit on my lap at 80 pounds.  And our sheep was attacked by dogs at two weeks old, and was never very social, and one day i went to the goat oen to give them some stale cheeze-its and she fell in love and will now come up and nibble.  It was incredible.  (clapping) :D
