In the mind of a 6 year old farm boy

If I could only get into the mind of my 6 year old farm boy!  He amazes me.  He's always busy making and "inventing" things in the barn ect.  Thought I'd share his latest invention.  Not sure what it is.  He told me to have you guys guess and he'd let us know soon lol.  Trust me on this one...this is a smaller one.  Usually he has more PVC pipe all over the place lol.

Maybe he'll be an agricultural engineer and support his old mom in her old age lol

Kinda looks like he might be taking water out of one bucket and putting it in another, guess that could be a way to get the water across the fence instead of carrying it over.

Are you sure he isn't setting up a still to produce his own alcohol?  Kinda looks like that to me... or could it be a rural meth lab.... just kidding of course. It is great to see young minds at work, rather than just sitting in front of a video game or TV vegging for hours. You should be proud of your son and keep encouraging him. If he is motivated, he could do anything he wants to do.

  Bless you Gidget And your husband for letting Evan expand his mind. My folks would let us do almost anything that we wanted as long as we weren't hurting anyone. We grew up in town and our place was the one with huge holes dug by the neighborhood along with race tracks, gardens planted by kids with their toys, homemade ice skating rinks. My folks were smart enough to know that it would all end way too quickly. Keep up the great parenting. Brent

Looks like quite an engineer to me!!

Make sure you encourage him to keep building things--even if they might seem silly to you.   My oldest daughter would always hound me with "Let's build something, Dad!" when she was little.   In fact, one of her favorite TV programs was old Norm on PBS building things in his "Yankee Workshop"!  She couldn't understand why we couldn't whip up a new dovetailed cedar chest for Mom or an eight  floor scale size doll house for her and her sister if we had an hour or two.
Little did she know(at least back then) that Dad was and Iowegian blessed with two left thumbs when it comes to anything beyond basic carpentry.  She then got involved in a competition called "Invent Iowa" and won two state titles while she was in Junior High.   After the first year she started getting information from Engineering schools in Iowa--after the second, she was contacted by colleges all over the country.  It sure didn't hurt her efforts to obtain scholarships, either. Today, she is a pursuing a double major in AG Systems Technology and Marketing at ISU and has started her own little business making jewelry, etc.--its featured on our website under "Barn Bling".   I'll be going to ISU the next two weekends to watch her recieve scholarships from the departments she's involved in.   In May, we'll see her off for a couple of weeks on an educational trip to Yugoslavia with the ISU Ag and Marketing departments, and as soon as she returns from Europe, we'll be helping her get ready to go to Wyoming for a summer internship with the USDA.  

So, like I said, encourage your little engineer!!  It seems like only yesterday that I heard "Lets build something, Dad!"

Definetly a still, I'll bet he's tapping into the corn supply[you might want to moniter the bin], makin mash, just make sure that he uses silver solder instead of regular solder to fix any leaks, regular has lead in it.  Fillen mason jars, hiden the jugs in the barn! Is he cuttin it to stretch his profit, or is he dealin' with a high end customer?

  I'm impressed with his settup, he can use the cattle operation as a front for his operation, very clevor!!!! (lol) (lol)

For cry'n out loud, y'all! We used something similar back on Rylon 2 during my academy days. It's a swine blood strainer. you just add a little Melmacian spiced wine and it's party time!!
