like these 2 as well, need to throw uproar in there. really like the looks he has, except always makes me wonder when a promo picture is taken on an incline.

I love the Jade cow in Uproar's pedigree! I do see what you mean about the hill..

As far as Mr. Right On, I like his looks and his cow family. I bet some interesting things will come from him. It's always fun to see new bulls and wonder who will be brave enough to use them!  ;D

I was really excited by his BW to WW to YW spreads, until I saw the accuracies.

and the fact that he is $40 per straw without a calf on the ground yet is a lil puzzling

The other thing is he is only an April, so freezing already??? Maybe that is why he is expensive, semen not readily available?

You have the TESS Black Rampage bull listed.  I saw this bull as a coming two year old and he looked good but not truly outstanding but I believe he had also bred a number of cows as a yearling.. Last Monday I attended a bull sale where some of his first sons sold.  The sale topper at $9750 was sired by him and sold to NLC Simmental Ranch in South Dakota (the breeders of Upgrade) and the other two sons sold for $7000 and $5300.  These three calves looked good.  I believe that the sire of Rampage, Wheatland Bull 786T, is doing a very good job based on what I have seen and Rampage's granddam has been an exceptional cow for her owners producing many high dollar offspring

Thanks for the review! Would you happen to know what kind of cows he clicks with?

All I can really tell you is that the two higher selling bulls were both out of a Remington On Target (Red Label X G&L Avalanche) daughter.  I am not sure how many purebred calves he would have sired in his first calf crop as an interest in him was sold to a Angus breeder and I believe that they ran the bull the first year.  If you were interested I could give you contact information for both of these owners.  I know both of them and think they would be quite upfront about the bull with you.

Here is a link to the catalog.

The Rampage sons are lots 58,59, and 60.  Lot 58 was the high seller and looked far, far better in person than in the picture.

Here is a link to the full sale results.

I saw Gunslinger @ Nichols Cryo here about a month ago & was impressed with him and have him marked down as a bull to watch, but I will realistically probably not use him @ that price on a commercial herd. There are just too many good bulls to use that are more prooven.

I believe our breed is crying out for some maternally orientated sires...
look at the milk EPDs on almost all of these new bulls; almost all or negative or
at least barely positive.
when the Simmental breed originally came into the United States, MILK was
one of their assets...they were known as a dual purpose breed in Europe....
milk and meat.
As the breed has now evolved over time in the US, I believe we have lost sight of the milk aspect in lieu of color, show appeal;  I would love to see a new bull
come onto the scene that offers phenotype and also has a milk epd of at least +6 and a maternal weaning epd of at least +20.

I would hope to find a purebred;
not sure how this bull's YW epd is this high when Shear Force's is about only half that.
