japan quake tsunami

quake was 8.8, maybe largest in japan history?  aftershocks were 7.4.  this thing is kinda big.

we have tsunami warnings today at 7:45 am in santa cruz and santa clara counties

i can't remember hearing tsunami warnings ever.

Some of you would have met our friend , Eriko, at Agribition a couple of years ago. She let Jaimie know that she and her family were all ok this morning. They live near Tokyo. She was supposed to return to Canada next Tuesday but there is a good chance that flight will be delayed.
If you watch any of the videos of this disaster it is mind boggling the strength of the quake and subsequent tsunami. Devastating for them.

This is the biggest recorded quake to ever hit Japan and I think the 6th or 7th biggest ever measured in the world.

We've just seen the tip of the ice berg as far as images of the damage.

Is there a major fault line there in that area. I guess they are prone to quakes there...like California?
People can't believe we have such a big moon for such a small town.
