My question is why would people post untrue or defamatory comments and then hope they can hide behind the excuse someone else posted it? Seems to me if your comment is an opinion or a personal preference to support your argument there should be no worries. Kind of manning up to what we say on the internet just like you would be expected to in the "real world".

Like the two people who are most hated on this site, and maybe a few others- who are not afraid to post their name, phone number, and email address on every single post they make? 

Wish the same could be said for the rest of the SP members who have blank profiles.

Not everybody agrees. That's good. I'm making more of a effort to keep things I say positive. Unfortunately not everything in life is positive. Take things for what they are worth and who is saying them. If your new here do some research and form your own opinion.  I know for a fact there are lots of folks who love aj. They choose to not speak up. It's there choice. I love Steerplanet and all I have learned here and the folks I met through here. I grew up a city guy so I may look at things a lot different then most on here. Trust me city people stink IMO and the stuff that's said on here ain't nothing compared to the crap they say and do.

Very true what you posted, but the problem on sp is a few people have to be outright jerks, you can be the dissenting opinion and do it in a respectful way.

I appreciate having someone around to play the devils advocate - there's nothing wrong with asking someone to defend the things they post, especially when they do so repeatedly and adamantly.  It makes us think a little harder, look a little closer at the things we say and the way we say 'em, make's us have to see there's always another side.  I don't even mind seeing a thread you know is gonna get a little heated - keeps things interesting, as long as it's not directly stepping on someone else's toes (or their cattle).  But there's got to be a line somewhere - every thread about cattle can't be turned into one about TH, every thread about anything else can't be turned into "you're a dirty, sorry, low bred steer jock so your opinion counts for less than nothing".

I hated it then, and I hate it now, but I've gotta quote my old high school English teacher here - "If I give you an inch and you take a mile, I'm going to take your inch away".

I don't get on SP for a couple days and come back and find I missed a lot. I have a lot of popcorn to eat while reading this thread  (pop)


By the way, everyone on the Internet can be tracked. I am an engineer with a global telecommunications company supporting public sector including federal government (FBI) and I can tell you it is easy to track!!!

it is easy to track but is it so easy to prove in a court of law that a certain specific
person is the one that posted something when a computer maybe shared by a
several different ppl?

also you have to PROVE a dollar amount of the damages in a court of law.....

it is an expensive and time consuming and cumbersome procedure to present and
proceed with a case such as this.

That picture is obviously a fake! Everybody knows all real saucers are Ferrari red!! (well not everybody just those at area 51). NHR is just trying to create some publicity to boost his next sale.
