He came from RFLTD Galloways in Emporia, KS. He is the result of a half sib mating of two animals from Brass Ring Galloways in Terry, Montana. Their sire was a red bull from Canada named Late Jake 20W. Late Jake was double bred from the red Canadian bull K9 Kalossal.  Semen on Late Jake is available from Hang 5 Galloways in Wyoming. This bull is the wild type red with darker pigment on his head and shoulders...especially in mating season. The wild type red allele is involved purple roan. This bull has more growth in him than I think I want in my grassy types...he is more of a performance type. Frame 5. Perfect for a real world Shorthorn or Red Angus cross. I'm using a dun next year, so if anyone is interested in adding dimension and marbling to your red cattle, let me know. This bull is 100% prairie forage developed...if I'd given him any grain he'd be a real tank.
