It is the original breeder or breeders on the registration papers of an individual animal, that should be held accountable for any misrepresentation of those documents.

It is our breed associations that should prosecute those breeders with inaccurate pedigrees. Otherwise, what would be the point in registering anything.

It is a dirty shame when we have to question the accuracy of pedigrees. Important financial decisions are made by most breeders I know, on these pedigrees.

These modern day outlaws should face some sort of disciplinary action just to keep it from getting out of control.

"The LOVE of money is the root of all evil."  The money does nothing wrong.  fallen man, in our sinful nature, is the problem.

I don't remember all the details but several years ago I read in the VOICE about a breeder having his current registrations expunged and was not allowed to register any cattle within the breed for a specific period of years. I am almost sure it was in the early to mid 90's. I can't remember what the wrongful act was, does anyone else remember this or am I the only old timer here.

No, I remember the same thing but can't find it. I think I even know who it was or at least would if I saw the name.
