I know it's long and it's not finished I just wanted opinions so far also I don't know why I chose 2006-2007. I'm thinking of doing this for my creative writing project that I can submit for a category at my County Fair. It's also double spaced so it looks nicer. But, I can't figure out how to double space on here..

Lilly and Priscilla
(A Journal of a Girl and her Cow)

Finally! Christmas morning. I got a bunch of great stuff; A new Journal, clothes of course, some drawing paper, a bunch of pens and pencils, a halter for Ginger some other normal stuff, and best of all Priscilla my new Angus Heifer! I can’t believe it! I mean I already have Ginger but she’s just a jersey I mean I love her to death but we’ve always had Dairy Cows. I’ve always wanted an Angus heifer every since I went to the beef show at the county fair. Priscilla is 8 months old she is so friendly she is recognized as a black baldy because she has a white stripe down her face oh I almost forgot she is part Simmental too that’s where she gets the white stripe. Well it’s 5:00 P.M. time to go feed Priscilla and Ginger.

Skipped a couple days… I’ve been spending it with Prissy! She is so cute; I can’t get enough of her! School starts back in a couple of days… That means not as much time with Pris... Well if you half an hour in the morning and then 3:30 to 5:30, and snow days as if that would even happen. I guess that’s what I get for living in Texas Mild Winters and Hot Summers.. So much for getting good hair x3. Well better close up the book and get to sleep it’s getting awfully late…

Shouldn’t of stayed up so late last night; woke up about an hour late to do chores this morning, Which meant I would be grounded from going over to Ashlee’s for a month which I can deal with because I can spend it with Priscilla. I mean Ashlee is just my cousin so I see her any other time and at school. So, you know it’s is fine with me. Dad told me that Ginger should be having her calf any day now I am so excited then I will have 3 babies :) Ginger was bred to Air Force a Holstein bull that I seen on http://www.accelgen.com/htm/sire_pages/014HO05406.html. This will be Gingers 3rd Calf; I got to pick the sire this time one thing that I’m disappointed about is that I think the calf’s birth weight will be to high but hopefully no complications will occur. I’m going to put up my pen and paper for a while and write again once I start school.

Finally Ginger went into labor last night; Happy New Year!  Well the whole story is last night about 9 and with a huge surprise… TWINS!! I was so surprised with a big bull like Air Force I didn’t think she would have had twins. We had the vet come out just to make sure there weren’t any complications with the calves or Ginger. Nope just two calves that weighed about 55 pounds each. Two heifers I named them Hope and Faith because I didn’t think they would be free of complications they were standing up and nursing at midnight!

Priscilla didn’t know what to think of the new babies! I think she is going to be jealous because I have to spend time with Ginger, Hope and Faith along with spending time with her (Prissy). Well Going out to the barn!

Just got home from school.. Homework, Barn, Dinner, Shower, Bed. Not looking forward to this. It just makes me mad because I won’t have as much time to write.

Priscilla is coming along great she’s leading, accepting the show stick and her hair is coming along great! I’m thinking about asking Will if he will come clip her for me, just so I know how to do it and there’s an open show coming up in March I think I want to go. $10 entry fee $25 a head, I’m glad I saved that Christmas money $55 left and it’s in an envelope that strictly says ‘COW MONEY’ on the envelope. 3 days until my birthday can’t believe it 14 here I come!

PD day, so no school! I love 3 day weekends! Talked to Will he’s going to come show me the proper way to clip Priscilla tomorrow after school. Can’t wait! Prissy is going to look so much different! Will is also going to teach me how to properly ‘Bone’ her legs and get the correct ‘fluff’ so to call, well it’s noon time to go rinse Prissy and blow her out! She looks so fluffy!

No homework today finally! Will came over Prissy looks even better with her new hair cut. It’s so much different than a Dairy Cow/Heifer I mean you basically shave everything off except the top-line and tail switch, but with these beef cows you have to shave this the right way and this you shave completely off…WOW, I didn’t realize how much work it is, well I do because of feeding, rinsing, brushing, etc. But with clipping! That’s a way different thing… Going to bed, it was a long day!
