Here is Wolf Willow Major Leroy 1M at 8 years old. He is pictured here after being wintered on only hay. He would actually get too fat if he was fed good hay all winter, so we oftentimes gave him some poorer quality hay .

First pic is HC Northern Gold 20N ET at  7 years of age. He is a Byland Gold Spear X New Beginnings Elsie's Jade

Second pic is Star P Matrix 4N at 7 years. He is a Glenford Gus 4H X T Bar Jody Rose 9905.
Matrix is now gone, but after seeing his daughters in production, we are using him again, and have flushed some of our best donors to him.

I wish Leroy was still alive, but we lost him to a serious foot injury about 2 years ago now. He was 10 years old and as sound as any bull around. It was almost like losing a member of your family when he went. Had he not had the foot injury, I have no doubt that he would have had several more years of service. His mother Prairie Lane Sparkle 1K is still alive and right now she is on her way home from the ET center in Alberta. I'm looking forward to seeing her again! She is now 14 .

It's cool to see these really good shorthorn cattle.  Not used widely enough I bet.

That's a heck of a bull. Where is this bull running right now?

He is in the www.prospecthillshorthorns.ca pasture. but he appears to be going down hill.

Great bulls JIT post saskvalley pioneer 126 if you have one i really liked him, also SV Bonanza another good bull I think he is at Muridale

Here is a pasture pic of Saskvalley Pioneer as a 2 year old. He died the next winter, which is still one of the most tragic losses I have ever experienced here. I have also attached a picture of his sire Saskvalley Navajo 153M which was taken at 6 years old after the breeding season.

Keep with Balmoral! My bull type.
Also like of Alta Cedar P.Storm 11U. Alta Cedar First Blood 5R and Alta Cedar Signature 119N.

Here is pictures of my Saskvalley Pioneer 126P son at 28 months. HC Starsearch 50Y certainly looks to be following in his sires footsteps phenotypically anyway, very excited about purebred and commercial calves in 2014!

Here is a picture taken a few weeks ago of 8-year old AF KF VG Step Ahead after breeding cows all summer.

Here is Muridale Murango 18X, a son of Muridale Buster 14K and out of an Alta Cedar Ultimate 130K daughter. This 3 year old bull is at Jim Poole's in Nove Scotia. A major journey from Saskatchewan.

the better the cattle are, the further they go.

One of my favourites, hopefully we will get a couple of ET calves by him in the spring!

I have several Rama ET calves coming next spring as well, and I am hoping they will be as good as he is. He is a real beef bull!
