Here is our new jr. herd sire A Perfect Circle.  He is a 3/4 Maine.  Sooner x Fear This.  We are really excitted about the maternal ability of this guy.  We think he will also raise bulls.  Owned by Altena Show Cattle, Starmak Cattle Co.& Sandy Ridge Cattle Co.  What  do you think?

He looks great!

Even though my semen tank is full till breeding season, I will campaign for sexed female semen if he collects well.

We just need more options for female semen, especially with the low cow numbers.

We would entertain the thought of sexed hfr on this guy because we to think his maternal upside is huge.  I have looked a long time for a Maine influenced bull to use on our Angus and Sim Angus cows.  When I saw this guy last summer I can honestly say I fell in love.  He has so much more to him than many Sooner sons.  Just a little history of this bloodline he had a flush sister that brought $23,000 and a full brother that brought $15,000.  I may be a little biased but neither of those two have the long term potential of this guy.  He will be available through Stepping Stone Genetics. Thanks for the positive comments.

LOVE that marking on his face! He's looks like he'll throw some good ones! What's his age? Is he TH and PH clean? Registered? Any calves hitting the ground yet? I might have to order some semen from this bad boy! :)

He is only a yearling now.  He is tested TH & PHA clean. He is also a registered 3/4 Maine so his offspring will be registerable maintainers regardless of what the cow bloodlines are. He will be used heavily here at Starmak Cattle Co. as well as at the other partners on the bull.  We will be flushing a half maine cow and a pb angus cow to him this spring and I know Altena's are flushing a cow to him.

Very attractive young bull.  Does he have white pasterns?  Looks like he is going to grow in to being a tank.  Curious to see how he covers on sim and sim influence cattle.  Keep us posted if you get a video up and running.  Love to see how this guy moves!  Thanks for the post and congrats on the addition!

For those who have asked he had an 85# bw.  He was an ET calf, but that will give you an idea.  I wouldn't use him on heifers, but would not expect he will throw huge calves.

(thumbsup)like the blaze the face. thank you for making semen available to the public i believe that has hurt the Maine breed some havn't breed many Maines lately most of the bulls i would have liked to breed to where not available to the general public for a reasonable price. Went to using Simmental bulls now they have done the same crap on some of their better bulls so i will go back to Maines with maybe your bull or hard whiskey to breed some angus+ cows to for females
