Another year, another set of steers for the kids. This year we have a nephew and a family friend picking up a steer from our place as well. That means, there will be 3 shorthorn cross steers and one angus x shorthorn steer going to the show. My boys are also taking shorthorn cross heifers to the show. Should be a busy and fun year for everyone! The red one is going to the family friend and the black one is sired by a black angus bull. The picture is terrible and I hope to get a better one soon. The bottom pic is one of the heifers that my son is taking. The steer in the avatar is a 1/2 brother to this heifer.

The top picture is Buckwheat, one of my son's steers. The second pic is one of the heifers that was picked.

Thanks Jaimie! She is pretty sweet. I think she is going to make a really nice cow. My son picked her because he liked his first steer so much and she is from the same dam. We have Weigh Day on Saturday, so we'll see how heavy the steers are.
