November Steer--what show?

Are there any shows that a really good November steer would work for?  Too late for Ft Worth or Houston probably.

There are several November steers here in Oklahoma, and our big show isn't until March. A growthy steer could make that if you leave him at home to grow during jackpot season.

real hard to make it too 1300 with a november steer for OKC but have seen it done

Yep.  There are more November and even December age steers at those shows than most would expect.  They do need to be handled right, but they can work.

Thanks shortdawg.  That's the Hereford steer we (my kids) showed last spring.  He was reserve Hereford at our county and 2nd in his class at OYE. He graded prime, and was a late October, btw. Wish I could say we raised him but we didn't - I can't tell you exactly how he was bred, but he wasn't AI sired.
