I saw these as calves-and again the day after a 15 below zero 45 mph winds in Iowas Dec 22nd 2016. They are at Brad Davis mediaplois Iowa-and have been on concrete for 6 months but still look very sound.- along with lotsa good springs from what Ive heard- I'm only Doing this unadulterated unabashed self agrandized plug because some of them are out of daughters by  a bull I bred called Topfuel. Wanna know what commercial guys like them to look like? Heres a couple examples-Hes got some good ones-even sent some heifers to Maxico a while back. O0

Mark,
I'm curious about the Topfuel pedigree.  Also what are your thoughts on the Meat Packer bull from Australia.  And last, in your experience how do Shorthorns cross with Simmentals ?

Hes a Free For All out of a Cumberland cow named Stacy-She was 3rd top selling female of the breed  as a 7 month old ca;f in 1999@ 15600. -sired by Studley- Louisville Nat Champ bull.First picture is  Topfuel as a calf in the pen at DMCC Kansas. Mark Mueller also raised a couple nice daughters of her  the best was an NLC Upgrade out of Stacy-Brad Davis said the best new caf on the farm is a Top Fuel x Char.Top Fuel been run hard in a number of herds-and would produce real nice females out of simms-one of the bull calves pictured is out of a simm cow.Might be out of another bull-but the deal works.NLC 21 on here  has a real nice female out of a simm cow and JITS Touchdown bull-CE from a first calf heifer. The young heifers are daughters from a few years ago not long after weaning, on concrete and not real shiny, but real showy-make very good cows.they were all milling around but at least 15 of the hiefers in that pen were out of Top Fuel-he sent a group of them to a guy who exprorted them to Mexico.A couple of the bulls above are out of some of that gtoup of heifers Meatpacker just doesnt do it for me at all:from what Ive seen out there-Austrailian breeding can be very hit or miss.
