My daughter has a 10 month old show heifer (Brahman)...
Last week we noticed a few very lightly blood tinged poops...just yesterday she has some mucus discharge and was laying around more than usual very affectionate and sweeter than normal acting. Today she was a bit moody when my daughter tried working with her. I went out to observe her for a bit and she was playful as usual but all of a sudden she got stretched out and raised her head as she approached me (thankfully there was a fence between us) as I believe she had the sudden urge to mount...me!...lol. she wasn't mean/agressive...my concern is how long this behavior will last as my small daughter will be showing her Saturday. I'm thinking by tomorrow she will settle down. We have had cattle for quite some time but the is our first show heifer. Hump day might take on a whole new meaning...ekkkkk! <cowboy>
