Considering how cold it was and with the snow they received how was the turn out?  Did the weather hurt the number of calves there?  Who won the heifer/steer shows?  I know at times there are alot of major challenges when you are outside grooming/showing in 19-20 degree weather and snowing!!

Yeah, I actually ended up not going because of the weather...I was pretty disappointed that I couldn't go.

I heard 180 head steers and heifers combined.  Not many head but good quality.  The threats of weather probably kept people at home but they barely got a dusting of snow and it was over 40 today for the steer show.  Steers: Grand-Martin-Simmi shown as Xbred, Res-Vickland-Res Xbred, 3rd-Duke-Chi, 4th-Vickland-Char, 5th-Rader-Maine, Fulk-Angus, Day-Herf, Moore-Horn, I think they said Moore?-Simmi

It was cold!!!! We took the heater and that made it bearable.  There were a lot of tents and tarps set up.  Wash racks were iced up Sunday. Supply trailers sold out of alcohol and EZ shampoo.  We only washed butts and legs and alcoholed the rest of the body. When my son showed I let him keep his sweat shirt and hat on.  He was freezing.  I felt sorry for the kids that just had their show shirts on in the ring you could see them shivering. Sunday it got up to 45 and was nice.  By that time the show was almost over.  Numbers were down, but a lot of nice calves.

I hate it when the wash racks & cement areas ice up. We saw a steer break his leg at an AGR show one year falling.
