We've kept or sold all this line of cow family.

Ok, call me silly, but I missed something here. (clapping)
I love the heifer, you could breed her in just about any direction and get some very marketable calves the only question I would have would be how sloppy fronted she is, really can't tell from the angle of the picture.
I don't know how Ohio works, but her age really works against her here in Kansas you wouldn't be able to show her at a couple of the bigger shows, they have taken out the fall heifer class.

I should have said we've either kept her daughters as replacement heifers or sold as show heifers.
Yes, her neck looks thick but if properly set up it's much better. If I sell her at expo will probably bred her first & sell as a bred heifer.

nephew was pleading Dirty Hairy on her.

Off topic Knabe but have you send that stats on Rowe's new bull Northern Ice?  He's out of Northern Inprovement & Rowe's Ms Habanero 42FJ. defect clean & 3/4 Maine. They have the GeneSTAR results.

the Ohio Beef Expo is around the middle of March.
Biggest problem w/ her is that on her maternal line they gain on air. I need to really watch that she fills out but doesn't get fat.

Red

I don't consider that a problem.  Nice heifer - I love the volume and broodiness.

I consider it a problem that is good to have!  I had a show heifer two years ago that was only getting protein the last month we showed her.  That makes for a grouchy show heifer!  Now that she is a cow she alway looks great.  One of the only first calf heifers I have had that didn't really lose weight and also weaned her heifer calf off at 650# at 183 days!  (clapping)  After seeing performance like that we are keeping her calf even though we had multiple offers.

Not trying to divert the subject but how could this bull be 3/4 Maine. If he is out of Northern Improvement who is purebred Angus and a pure Maine momma then couldn't the other bull be at most 1/2 Maine? Just wondering.
