Here is our 8 yr old herd bull, been running with cows for 2 weeks.  Picked him up Jan.1st @ Genex after being there 70 days.  Took him to Denver and showed him in his working clothes.  Been on slough grass hay since the last week of January.  Stood still long enough to get this picture.

I took the day off today and since we received a billion dollar rain I took advantage and shuttled some semen from Hawkeye Breeders over to Nichols.  I spent some time in the barns and these are my favorites.  Can you name them?  Hopefully CAB won't chime in too early.

I didn't get a picture of every bull, but Unstoppable was another favorite.

Believe in Me
I-80
Heat Wave 6

I was just at hawkeye on saturday so I will take a stab - pic 1 BELIEVE IN ME  pic 2 I-80  pic 3 HEAT WAVE 6. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of I-80. Defiantly not a dink, he had a very usable frame size, use him on the smaller THC heat wave or monopoly females and get dang nice calves. I also really like BIM and Walkie Talkie, But the best looking bull there in my opinion was UNSTOPPABLE. extra sound, extra deep, very easy fleshing, stout and good looking.

Wow, all of them on the first try and yes, they were all at Hawkeye.  The bulls in the North barn, including Master of Puppets, refused to budge so I have a bunch of pictures of lounging bulls chewing their cuds.  Bulls were lounging the same at NCG, although Hard Whiskey even looked great laying down. Today was a nice change of pace.

Zach:

Here is another shot of BIM from today. He's more sound on all four corners than this photo indicates.  Moved out really well too.

Walks Alone looks freakishly stout. he reminds me of those muscle heads at the gym. I can see why his calves are blocks.

Something a little different:

Here is a young Beltie bull I am collecting next week.

Clean and unclipped.

Lots of color and light birthweights when used on clubby heifers!
Offspring can be registered Appendix Beltie to enter AOB shows or Beltie shows.
