What makes the best recip cows for clubby embryo's? I know you would want a good milker and a cow with good instincts but other than that what make a good recip

I like using big simmi cows, they milk like crazy, and can pop out a rino.

The quieter the better. These cows will need to be handled more than most. A lot of times threw the chute. Work them slow and quiet too, upset cows have poorer conception rates.

I have some angus holstein and some herford holstein.  Holstein is between 1/4 and 1/2.  They make good mama cows for more than just recieps.

Is there a going price for recipe cows? or does it just follow the market?
