Well I intend to turn Mary KT 30Z into a donor so I thought I should get her pictured.  Wife and I managed to snap this one (without ending in divorce).  She really is an ideal type of femal in my mind (the cow and my wife  ;))

We sold the heifer calf off our girl last fall and just got an updated picture (below) from the buyers.  I'm really happy with how the calf is coming along, especially for just an April baby. Also is a pic of my cow getting her scratch.  She's due any day now. Hoping for another heifer!

Snapped a couple pics of the 2016 heifer calf off my Bismarck cow.  Before and after the clip job.

Well, this just makes me want to use Bismark now! Very impressive set of cattle! I'm really liking your cow's build, and her calves knock my socks off even more!  (thumbsup)
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cattle and that's pretty much the same thing as far as I'm concerned!

Simmental and SimAngus bulls available year-round!

This calf is out of a BismarckXChopper 1st calf heifer and a LuttonXMaine bull. He is standing on a downhill slope. He is a month old.

Thank you!! We were just glad to get a live calf out of our heifer. We know he's not a barn burner but we think he should be at least a competitive county fair and some state fairs steer. Our BismarckXChopper heifer is milking better than a lot of the 2nd calvers so this calf is getting plenty of groceries.

Always the goal to get a solid, live calf the first time. Them Bismarck make great mommas.  Get her bred right next time and she'll have the milk to get you a great one  (thumbsup)

We are thinking of AI-ing to Comfort Zone (hoping for a heifer) this May before breeding her clubby down the road

Every time I see a bizmark heifer bull or cow I really wish I could use him. But I am at too high of an altitude.

Here is our Bismark, the semen come in the used tank I purchased and opted to use it on my heifer in my avatar photo.

The cow is a No Surprise daughter, small framed (3.5-4), heavily muscled, too fat and a PHAC. We had a hard winter, it stayed in double-digit negatives at night for several weeks and we had deep snow which kept the cows from getting any exercise....you might guess where this is going....the resulting heifer came 6 days early but was 86 pounds and a very hard pull.

I am not sure how to feel about the results I do feel like I probably shouldn't have kept the heifer in the first place, but hindsight is 20/20. Anyways, the calf is a cutie, we named her Cinderella as she came on the first night of the NCAA tourney.  I'll have to get better photos when things aren't as gross and muddy.

I will likely go ahead and use him on a Daddy's Money heifer this year because I do like the looks of this heifer and have a feeling this year was just a perfect storm of genetics and conditions.

That does sound like quite a list of extenuating circumstances. At 86 pounds it would be heavier than any bismarck I have had and where I live bw are consistently 5-10lbs higher due to the cold. Glad to see she's doing well.  It's certainly a nice calf. Best of luck.
