Semen offered for charity silent auction
« on: October 12, 2011, 03:47:25 PM »
We are going to offer semen on any bull we have at the Arkansas State fair during the shorthorn PACE show.  The Arkansas Junior Shorthorn Association has a silent auction and we are going to make available 10 straws of semen on any of our bulls with all of the proceeds going to the juniors.  This will be the first time most of this semen will be made available.  The younger bulls are scheduled to be collected the last of October or the first of November.  The older bulls are available now.  The bulls can be seen on facebook at Lane cattle.  Bulls include JB Red Power (Durham Red bull that left us some great females), MM Delco (full brother to Radio Active who has produced some very competitive show calves for us),  Elbee Throwback (a line bred improver that is clean for TH and PHA and should be easy calving)  Studers Jazz Party ( a proud Jazz son out of the great Party Gal cow), and JB Gus ( a TM Gus son we are very excited about).

Thank you for your kind comment. We feel like this group of bulls can provide a lot of the pieces to put togather a good herd of cows. Delco is TH free but is a carrier of PHA.  We have a spring born bull calf out of Delco that is clean for both we are very excited about.  If any one is interested in the semen let me know. Remember all of the proceeds goes to the juniors.

When is the silent auction?].                                                                                                                                       It is going on right now. It will end on Sunday at 10:00 am.  They have $15 on the semen right now. I will help with arraingments for anyone who is interested. At Studers Jazz Party full brother sold well. Delco has sired several calves that have been very competitive. The other two bulls are really good and this maybe a chance to add some differant genetics. Remember it is for a very good group of hard working kids.
