I recently transferred some semen to my tank from a shipper, I got side tracked/pulled away  while writing down the cane codes and then pulled away to do something else.  When I came back to finish, I realized that the plug had been left out of the tank for about 2 hours.  The tank was just filled last week, so I know it is full, and when I came back and put the plug in, I checked it and it was still full.  Could there be damage to the semen that is in the canisters, or is it plenty cold enough down in the tank that they should be fine.

it should have been plenty cold for them, I was always told that below the neck it's still cold enough that there's no danger, and if it was full then your semen should have been almost completely submerged in N2 anyways

Thanks, that was my thoughts as well, always get a little nervous when you find a screw up like that!  The tank is plenty full as it was filled last week.

then you should be fine, when I took my AI class the rep had a temperature chart and even half way up the neck I believe it was about -120 degrees, but don't quote me on that one lol.

My dad left the plug out overnight once last year (could've shot him) on our small thank...there was still 18cm in the tank the next morning...checked 2 straws from the top of canes...perfectly fine.
