We've fed showmaster finisher the last 3 yrs. along with beet pulp and barley at times. It seems that we are behind when it comes to show time because of lack of fat. I'm thinking of switching to Purina show chow. I'm thinking showmaster is lacking something or maybe it's me.

we have fed showmaster also and I feel the same they eat it great, gain weight but are not putting on the fat, we added corn 2 years ago and it did not have great results but the steer had a huge rib eye.  I like the way they eat showmaster and never had issues besides the fat.  This year we are feeding showmaster finisher from the start and kings mixed together.

I use Show Rite and have never had an animal not eat or an animal that wasn't finished to the best of it's abilities

We feed a complete feed up until about 1100 pounds then we switch to crack corn and a 34% protein supplement. Adds fat and cover!

We have used both showmaster and honor show chow feeds with good results.  I now feed Purple Bound from US feeds.  I like this feed much  better and the cattle seem really do great on it.

Umbargers Cattle Blaster can work miracles for cover. Iff you have a cald that is a little harder doing add some glu coat.
I 've seen a lot of consitency issues with purina lately.
Send me a pm if you want compete ration for different weights.

Showmaster topped with a little brewer's yeast or sometimes mixed with another fat supplement seems to work the best for us.
