Those refs sucked!!!  Now I am not like some fans that say the refs were against us. cough cough nebraska cough cough but those refs sucked.  Both teams had some horrible calls against them.  Then to call that unsportsmanlike on a salute after what could have been a game tying touchdown.  That was rediculus.  Just had to get it off my chest.

What a hack job.  15 yard penalty for saluting the crowd after a possible game tying td.

The tn game after had the same salutes going on after tds without penalties.  ::)

Big Ten referee crew. They gave Ohio State same penalties for making a "O" with there hands during Michigan game. Ridiculous calls yesterday ruined a great game. The refs are earning the nickname I gave them. "The fun Police"

Yep, a total blown call that may have cost the game...can not believe that flag was thrown.

I think some refs simply like being in the spotlight....

I was actually cheering for KSU.

Yeah, that was horrible.  Many opportunities in the Tenn game to make the same call, didnt happen.  Wondering if a Big Ten crew is working the OU-UConn game?

Hey, I bleed as much purple as anyone. However, why can't kids just score a touchdown and hand the ball to the ref?  Marcus Allen once said after scoring a touchdown you should act like you've been there before and plan on going back.  I think the call was wrong and that others got away with doing things that were probably worse.  But if he would have just handed the ball to the ref and gone back to the huddle to prepare for the extra point there would be no grounds for a flag!!!

I agree they should just hand the ball to the ref.  But this is why I like college football and not Pro ball, the college guys actually have some spirit and enthusiasm, were the Pro players walk around like robots looking for their check.

Frankly I think that a little bit of showmanship is good for the game, keeps viewers (either live or tellivised) interested and people wanting to watch and take part in your product. (NFL, College, CFL)

Being a truly unsportmanlike Dink is a different story.

I think this call is totally unjustified.

Emotions is very important to a team an coaches try to bring it out , but some of these referees have their own emotions an if given a chance have the authority to use them ....I don't like the grand standing but this should have been handled diffferently , You Kansasns got robbed but it happens ....

You mean as exciting as game as that was and you just scored a TD that could put you into overtime you wouldn't show just a little excitement???  A simple salute is over the top???  Not buying it...  To throw that flag at that point was in-excusable when no previous warnings or flags were given all game.  (How do I know no warnings...the refs told us why the flag was thrown so they would have told us that warnings were given.)

Now you want to say K-State should have never got to that point fine...no run defense, not much pass rush, poor play choice on a fake field goal...

I think there were higher powers dictating that KState should not win this game.

On a lighter note..  I keep thinking Budweiser should do a commercial with that clip. . "Here's to you Mr. Touchdown Saluter"

SALUTE!!!! (Jason.. do you have a purple Saluting blinky?) LOL!!
