Jit I see now what you mean about rockstar calves the first month I was disappointed with this heifer calf but as the summer moves along she keeps getting better she might make a replacement after all

I have been very pleased with our Rockstar calves. They have been very moderate BWs but start to change shortly after birth. We only had 1 Rockstar bull in our bull sale this spring as we had mostly heifers from him last year. He was selected by a Montana rancher who says he has a car load of neighbors who are coming to the sale next year after seeing this bull. He was the youngest bull in the sale and he sold for $5250. Rockstar is very deep sided and has great thickness as well. His dam is the best daughter of Saskvalley Pioneer 126P that I have seen. Here is a picture of Rockstar at 11 months of age.  I would suggest that your heifer will continue to change and she will develop into a good replacement female.
