He doesn't seem to be throwing the white face. Ours has just a small speck of white coming out of his nose, that is it. Right now, at 60 days, he is average compared to his contemporaries. I have a second Shell Shocked coming in May, so we will have more to judge on. I have several bred for fall calves, and I used him on heifers. I believe he is calving ease also.

Here is an updated pic of our Shell Shocked bull calf. He is a Feb calf, so about 70 days old now. He is starting to grow, and looking better every day. He has a long, thin face. It was odd when he was younger, but he is growing into it.

Is he throwing any red calves? Doesn't seem like it, but I've been looking for something out crossed from what I've got and he's impressing me. If he's bred on a red cow do you think the black will dominate?

Shell Shocked is Hetero Black. If he is bred to a red cow the odds will be 50% black/50% red for the calf.

Here is an updated photo of our Feb Shell Shocked. He is impressing me more and more! So much that we weaned him this weekend, a little early, so we can show him at our district fair and maybe State Fair. We also had a heifer in June, out of a cow. She is small, and nothing special, YET. They seem to get better with age!
