I know alot of places are getting some much needed moisture in the current weather system which is a good thing but I sure hope that none of the SP members get in the road of any of the tornados or violent thunderstorms. RW

We are having crazy weather!!! Three feet of snow with lightning and thunder going on at the same time. We finally just dried up from that and it started snowing like crazy again last night. I know it's much needed but our poor cows, it took me a hour and a half to wash the mudballs out of our steer yesterday. I about cried when it started all over again!!!

We had 4 or more inches...wind took my rain gauge down last night.  I'm in NW MO and am pumping water out of my basement/shop right now

the water came up over the road last night at about 7 or so and I still cant get out of my driveway.  Other than that not bad here, but my place in southern Kansas was in the path of a tornado 2 nights ago I still haven't heard what happened there.  Hoping nothing.

We had approx. 3-4 inches yesterday into last night, but n/ne of us had 5-7inches. All of those amounts are too much this time of the year. There will be huge soil losses in a big area. PPL will be replanting some fields. Hope everyone is safe. Brent

Saturday night was very eventful around here. Started of a 6:00 p.m. with the sirens blowing. I went back outside and looked. Several clouds to the west, SW, and NW rotating. One would try to lower, and then pick back up, then another, then another, and so on and so forth. After that little deal was over, it started raining. About 8:30 p.m. we lost power for about 45 min-an hour. We watched the weather at 10:00, and saw a tornado about 30 miles south of us with significant damage moving towards us. Wound up going about 7 miles east. Whe it had gone by, I saw on the radar that there was another storm heading for us that was about 1 1/2 hours away. (This was about 11:00 p.m.) The electricity went back off for just a few minutes, and I just decided to go on to bed. I was then woke up about 1:30 a.m. by the storm sirens blowing, and family/friends calling (all out of the area, but up watching.....btw if you called, thanks for the heads up) to say there was a tornado 5 miles south of town heading right for us. Got everyone up in a hurry and went to a friend's shelter all the wlile thinking that we're gonna be the next Greensburg!! Luckily it dove off to the east and weakened, only giving us golf ball-sized hail for about 5 minutes and strong winds and torrential rain. Everybody I know that was in the path is safe and sound (thank God), but 1 is still stuck marooned at home because of all the water. Coffee shop talk was around 9"-9 1/2" of rain in about a 8 hour period. Any body need to borrow some?

I'm sorry to hear what you all have been through. I'm in west central OH, except for the wind I'm fine. Hope you all dry out. :)

That monsterous storm Saturday missed us, and then the one last night split and went around us as well.  We got a little bit of rain, probably not even an inch.  There are places within an hour's drive all 4 directions from us, that received several inches of rain just last night.  We still have dried up ponds within a couple hundred yards of the house here.  The ground is nice and wet today though, and I'm hoping we get a really good downpour here within the next few days & get some good runoff.

We are really lucky, we have had a huge amount of rain, but the storms were in a huge line about a half an hour to our North and thankfully the tornado's stayed in that line along I-70 so we don't have any damage, but I sure feel for those that do, it has to be just devastating to have to start over.

Wow what a great day of some much needed rain.  Last night and
today have had almost 3" here in central Texas.

Last system got our 3 tanks filled up very fast 2" rainfall and covered the ground with kidney bean size hail.
More rain in the forecast all week.  We are hoping this will get us out of our bad drought we've been in.
Blessed so much and so far none of that BAD stuff!
Hope the rest of y'all are all doing ok!

It took these storms 2 hours to give us as much rain as Ike did in 12 hours. Pastures are nice and green though! ;D

We had an inch of rain and I was hoping for 2-3. I live in Northern IA and we are dry. I have creeks dry that I have not seen dry this time of year. Hope to get some more rain to get the pastures going. Hope everyone else has good luck, Remember that when your wet the grass is still growing!
