I am not 100% on if this is what the disease/infection actually is, but if so, I am in need of some help! We noticed that my yearling has been standing a funny and lying down almost all day, so we decided that we should get her checked out. We were getting some of our animals hooves trimmed and  we got the guy to check out my yearling. I was not their due to work, so I am just going off what my dad told me. She was warts or something  between her back hooves, where the "crack" starts in the back (I'm sorry I'm really bad at expelling things, and not sure if I am using the right terms). The hoof trimmer put some stuff on it and wrapped it. I have been rinsing her almost everyday for the past week and after a few days, I started to rinse between her hooves really well (I wanted to give the medication some time to soak in). I took the wrap off today and put some iodine based wound spray on it. The biggest problem of all is that my county show is next weekend. You can tell that she is in some discomfort because she refuses to walk, or she may just be super stubborn. What, if anything, can I do to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Strawberry heal wart or more commonly called a hairy heel wart.  Tetracycline works very well on them.  Get some water soluble tetracycline and squirt it between her toes every day after you rinse her.
