I have used them before on some of my market steers. They don't have a long work time to them. When I was feeding them it takes 1-1.5 half for them to work. My steer would calm down for 1-2 hours before they started to wear off. They work good for when you have a worked up calf at a show (but not sowing that day) and want to calm the calf down so it doesn't hurt the person walking the calf. There is a small cup that comes with the pellets that is suppose to do a fat steer (on average) but with some calves you have to give a little more for it to work good. On average I would give my steers (ranged from 1100- 1275 lbs) 1.25-1.5 cup per steer when it was needed.

In my experience, it all depends on the heifer. I had a heifer that I used it on and it worked like a charm. But I also had, at the same time, another heifer that I also was giving it to and it didn't do anything. For me, its a 50-50 shot, but I also know that Sullivan's Peace Pellets aren't cheap. But if nothing else seems to be working, I would try it.
Good luck!    (thumbsup)
