When we lived in Ohio we always used showbloom because it was so readily availible.  Now that we live in Missouri, the shipping on it kills us.  So this year, we decided to try vitaferm on our lambs and heifers.  So far we are pretty pleased.  The surechamp pellet is to help increase the digestability in the rumen and it seems to really do that.  New heifers come next week so I'm anxious to see how it goes starting right off with the product.

Both are great products in their own right.
We have become firm believers in the Sure Champ line of products.  The heifers are ALWAYS on it and this year we used the new SURE CHAMP PIG and we will NEVER go without that again.  It was awesome to say the least.

The entire Vita Ferm line is great product and no, we are not sales reps for them.  Just really happy customers.  Even the old retired gelding out on pasture gets Vita Ferm Equine every day and it sure has helped his 29 yr old body get back in shape out on grass this summer.

Apples and Oranges. Different things. Can't compare them.

They are both protein supplements for show animals.Show bloom has yeast to feed the rumen bacteria while Sure Champ has amaferm which also feeds the rumen bacteria like yeast. Show bloom has a little more protein than Sure Champ but they are  similar in their vitamin and mineral package. Calf Manna is also similar to the two. I have fed all and I think Sure Champ is the best of the 3.

This is why when you post questions here you have to take your answers with a grain of salt.

Calf Manna is not a protein supplement. It is a baby calf feed. It's not made for show cattle its originally made to transition baby dairy calves from a bottle to dry feed. It can be  USED for show cattle to ad protein and vitamins etc to a diet. You can feed much more calf manna than Show Bloom or Sure Champ and therefore it can be used to ad protein to the diet. However,it's a very expensive way to ad quality protein to the diet.

Sure Champ is a vitamin/mineral supplement that contains the same stuff all Vitaferm Products contain, amaferm. At 24% protein and a feed level of one pound per day, you get less than 4 oz of protein added to a diet from this source. It might contain some protein but it is NOT something you use to ad protein to a diet. It is a vitamin/mineral supplement that also has the amaferm digestive aid.

Show Bloom is also a digestive aid/ vitamin/ mineral supplement based on brewers yeast. Brewers yeast is a digestive aid that I feel is vital to insuring that your calf stays on a high grain ration for long periods of time without digestive problems including bloat. The mechanism which brewers yeast aids in digestion and the mechanism in which amaferm aids in digestion are very different. Show Bloom is 30% protein and at a suggested rate of 8 oz a day you get  a whopping 2.4 oz of protein added to the diet. Show Bloom is a digestive aid that contains vitamins, minerals and protein from the yeast. It is NOT a protein supplement.

Just because those three products all contain some level of protein, vitamins and minerals does not make them similar anymore than three different  houses that all have three bed rooms and two baths are similar.

Feeding both Sure Champ and Show Bloom along with a good show feed is overkill on the vitamin mineral profile. But there is nothing as important as the animals ability to use that feed efficiently and for a long period of time without digestive distress. If you feed both just be sure there is no more added SE through something like an injectable mineral supplement.

Sorry they are Performance Supplements.

Calf Manna -12.5 lbs of protein per 50 lb bag
Sure Champ - 12.5 lbs of protein per 50 lb bag    --------------              Not alot of difference
Show Bloom- 15 lbs protein per 50 lb bag

Calf Manna uses Brewers Yeast, a Fungi for Digestion utilization
Sure Champ uses Aspergillus Oryzae, a Fungi for Digestion utilization    --------------              This is the main difference
Show Bloom uses Brewers Yeast, a fungi for Digestion utilization

Calf Manna and Show Bloom are even more similar than Sure Champ. Show bloom probably borrowed their ingredients list from Calf Manna
