Here is our daughters registered simangus heifer. We will be breeding her in December. We wanted to ask what bull is out there that we could breed her to to soften her up and just help her produce a better calf. We've been looking at a few and just want more opinions.

Here's her pedigree please let us know what your thoughts are on her in general. We weighed her about 3 days ago and she's 1040lbs

Select Sires carry 3 very good SM bulls. Uno Mas, CCR Wide Range, & a new bull Koch Big Timber. Take a look. Uno Mas is probably the safest of the 3 for use on a first calf heifer, but if you are a person who checks cows closely I wouldn't be scared to use either of the other bulls.

W/C Lockdown. From our experience, he is sleep at night calving ease and will add rib and soften.

In our experience, we have more misses with Uno Mas than hits. He will give them a ton  of hair though! I bet with Upgrade in her pedigree she has no hair!

We really haven't pushed for hair yet here in the mid-ga heat cause we aren't really set up yet to house our show calves in a barn under fans so our show calves run out in a big lot close to the house and have to deal with the heat. But as soon as our temps drop out of the 80's and upper 70's we will start rinsing and icing them down and standing under the fans for an hour or two after we get home from work.
