Congratulations.  In Texas, it's never easy to raise one good enough to win and then and get him in the right hands to get him fed/shown.

How big is that county show?  I have my own selfish reasons (a couple in the barn), but I'm glad to see some Troubador calves starting to win as fat calves.

Thanks chambero ! This year there were about 40 head in our show , down from around 50 normally . This calf has always been in my brother's barn , he was my niece's calf and was reserved for her from day one . As we talked about before , we lost her in an auto accident almost a year ago . A good family friend took the calf and showed him to help fulfill a promise my brother made to his daughter that she would one day win our county show .  Dedicated to my niece Chris Jones !

I forgot about that.  I expect that was a very bittersweet show for you and the rest of her family.  We all better remember to enjoy every single day.
